1.Rosy Tang

Ingredients:

Rose syrup- 2 tablespoons
Kokum syrup – 1 tablespoon
Cumin powder – to taste
Black salt – to taste

Simply mix all the ingredients in a glass of water. Serve immediately at room temperature or slightly chilled.

Rose is best known for its cooling and calming properties. It also aids digestion and is rich in vitamins and anti-oxidants. The sweet and sour Kokumfruitsare rich in Vitamin B complex, Vitamin C, manganese and potassium. This ruby-red rose syrup drinkwith tangy kokum is packed with nutrition. 2. SattuCooler

Ingredients:

Sattu flour – 1 tablespoon
Lemon juice – 2 teaspoons
Chopped mint leaves – 3 to 4
Cumin powder – 1/4th teaspoon
Black salt – to taste
Chat masala (optional) – 1 pinch
Honey – to taste

Mix all the ingredients well in a glass of water and serve immediately.

This traditional recipe is a cool refreshing drink to quench your thirst and reduce body heat. Though Sattu is readily available in the market, you can also make it at home by powdering roasted Bengal gram (Chana dal) or roasted barley (Yava) or a mixture of both. It is rich in proteins, calcium, iron, manganese and magnesium. Thisinstant energy drink can protect you against sunstroke and dehydration. Mint leaves, lemon, cumin seeds and black salt aid digestion.

3. Chatpata Chaas

Ingredients:

Curd – 2 tablespoons
Coriander leaves – 3-4 sprigs
Cumin powder – 1/4th teaspoon
Black salt – 1/4th teaspoon
Dry ginger powder – 1 pinch
Chat masala (optional) – to taste

Directions:
Blend all ingredients together in a blender and then add a glass of water to the mixture. Serve fresh.

Benefits:
Nothing is more refreshing than a glass of freshly prepared butter milk. Give your buttermilk recipe a twist by adding coriander, cumin, black salt and dry ginger as chaas masala. It is easily digestible and is also recommended in problems of the digestive tract. It is rich in proteins and calcium.
